I bought this router because of the price and the fact that Trend makes some other good products. However, this product did not work. I connected it to my HP laptop and HP desktop with some difficulty and had good performance. My husband was out of town for a few weeks and when he got back we tried to set up his Dell laptop. I've been in computer technology since 1986, have built tons of computers, set up dozens of WIFI routers and have never had a worse experience. I spent 8 hours with Trend tech support who basically said the device was not Dell compatible but struggled to find a solution. My husband spent another 4-5 hours with an unknowing Dell tech getting him to take the modem card out and put it back in! (Hang up immediately if someone tells you to unplug your Dell laptop's modem card!) Worst of all, within the first 1/2 hour I discovered that this router was incompatible. Partial loan, since the full repayment period of the loan had already expired at this point. However, Revain was good at it and found a way to give me some more credit for the new D-Link. I replaced D-Link which I had for 9 years. The new model, DIR-625, was available immediately and I've been using it on one of our systems for a year with no problems. It also works seamlessly with my son's Toshiba laptop and our Droid 2 phones. Conclusion: BEWARE if you have a DELL computer.
