These walkie-talkies are average in power and sound compared to other devices we've had. Well to be fair these Cobras are being sold for business use and I think they will outperform in a building/office setting. Our family typically uses walkie-talkies for outdoor use, and they work reasonably well in our wooded area where cell phone coverage can be spotty. The maximum coverage is about 8 hectares. The clip is our favorite feature and it's really reliable. In fact, we found it a bit tricky to pull the radio out of a belt or shirt pocket at times. There is an extra corner on the plastic that can sometimes get stuck when peeling off. The walkie-talkies are very light and the battery life is decent. I think for domestic, everyday or business use they will fill the bill. For outdoor enthusiasts, I would look for something more durable and weather resistant.
