Review on Lasko 12 inch Table Fan - White, with 3-Speed by Lisa Walton

Neighbors complained about "loud hum" at night, which I took to be my Lasko pedestal fan I recently installed in a hot summer bought at Walmart in a mad panic that night my 7 year old fan died. Which by the way was loud and REALLY had an awful buzz. Thanks to thin paper walls. Being a sweetheart, I first tried a quiet night without a fan (first time in 20 years, minus a power outage/fan that didn't work here and there) and it didn't go too well for me. So I searched Amazon for the quietest fan I could find. I first bought a mini fan from Amazon based on reviews saying it was quiet. No, it wasn't quiet. It only had 2 speeds and the lowest speed made a high pitched squeak. (By the way, I can sleep through those two fans, but unfortunately I'm paranoid about my neighbors. In fact, I can hear them banging on the wall as I'm typing this. I'm not kidding.) So I read a few more reviews , took a leap of faith (I'm a hopeless romantic) - and I found this fan. And finally, NO humming and NO howling! Even the wind blowing at the lowest level is definitely enough to cool you down. Some reviews of this fan said it was so quiet you couldn't hear it, which I disagree. You can absolutely hear it (and believe me, I'm on high alert), but it's a comforting sound. Definitely no hum or howl - but you can definitely hear the wind blowing. At the moment I'd recommend this fan if you're looking for something that can cool you down, that can serve as background noise and doesn't make an annoying whine or high-pitched noise - in fact, it sounds like a triple fan. ! I hope my neighbors will be happy. And that I no longer receive calls from the homeowners' association! My only downsides are that it required assembly and I would have preferred it to come assembled and that it didn't come in a mailer box. Strange? It came unwrapped in its usual box, so anyone walking past my door could see I'd ordered a Lasko fan. Which also overcame my desire to be passive-aggressive/stubborn as I wanted to placate my neighbors without letting them know I thought about their feelings so much (I mean I bought 2 fans here!) . Ah, my good heart again. All in all I would recommend this fan to anyone looking for a trifecta.
