I thought I might be spending a little more money for a set of knives that might not be worth the money. Realize that all the other knives I was buying over the years are crap. I am no chef but even a week end BBQ cook like me can see and feel the total difference in using these knives. I can slice an onion as thin as they do a tomato with these. Comfortable to use. Was going to buy a set for my mother but she used my wife's once and scared the heck out of her. She is in her 80's . If you know someone who likes cooking this will make all the tasks easier.
