The idea of a jet lapel or collar pin is a great idea. However, this pen doesn't really do the job for me. It's quite small and you have to get very close to see what it is. The gold rim is very faint and the number "30" is almost imperceptible. Doesn't look as good as on the product page. I still love a baseball cap and will probably wear one too, but that's not something I would give to an airplane guy. The set came with 2 pads, which is very handy if you lose one.
