I worked for KBR as an Engineer in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. We were responsible for providing engineering support to all of the construction projects that KBR was involved in. The projects included building roads, bridges, dams, schools, hospitals, etc. In addition to my work as an engineer, I also helped build shelters for civilians who had been displaced by the war. This was a very rewarding experience. I enjoyed being able to help contribute to the overall success of the projects. It is unfortunate that the current administration has made it difficult for companies like KBR to do business in Iraq. There are many contractors who have left due to the difficulty they face working in Iraq.
