Review on 🩳 GORE WEAR Men's Standard C3 Trail Shorts, Black, M: Optimal Performance and Style by Victor Ewing

These shorts are great.

If I had to design the perfect mountain bike shorts, I would definitely copy the Gore C3. Here are the highlights: - Light and comfortable; - Belt loops. There is an elastic band at the back of the waistband, but it is inconspicuous and doesn't look like cheap children's panties (ala Zoic Ether). Also, there are no Velcro side adjustment tabs or other stupid adjustment schemes. The elastic is enough to attach the shorts to me; I think he will eventually give up. The belt loops allow me to use one of my woven belts. Zipper with double buckle at waist. There is a small Velcro strip on the outside of the clasps to keep the clasp clean. This velcro is hidden. The fly is critical, but the flash is not. I had fox shorts with no zip. I was surprised that I liked the zipperless design. The Fox shorts self-destructed after about a dozen rides. - Handbags: The handbags are zipperless (good!), perfectly sized, and have ducts to keep headphone cords from dangling and snagging. - Cargo pockets: I hate cargo pockets so I almost didn't buy these shorts. But these bags are different. Instead of a zipper on the flap (good!), and the zipper is oriented at the right angle. The contents of the pockets protrude instead of being pushed down the leg like shorts where the leg pockets are sewn inside. I love these bags. - Back pockets: No. Back pockets are useless with cycling shorts. Fit: Comfortable but not baggy. I move a lot in the dressing room. Loose shorts will catch on parts of the bike, especially the saddle. It's not like this. If you need to wear soft lining, please order one size up. But I recommend you get rid of the need to pad the buttocks. Try an appropriate saddle and adjust your riding style to get off the saddle more often. You miss out on many benefits by staying in the saddle. Style: Style is the least important aspect of functional clothing. However, I don't like performance clothing that's supposed to scream "I want to look like I'm a cool participant (no matter what activity)!" The Gore C3 styling is understated and in my opinion one of the best looking MTB shorts - Durability: Haven't ridden these shorts enough to form an opinion on durability - DURABILITY UPDATE: I've worn these shorts for 118 years to my Strava records, I'm on a tough road. The shorts still look and feel the same as my spare pair that I never wore. MARVELOUS! - Price: When I first bought it (November 19th), the price was $32. A month later the price was $23 so I bought a second pair. I would never recommend buying $100 shorts. For this money you can buy three great Columbia Silver Ridge Cargo shorts, quick-drying, and they will be just as good. Or 4 Carhartt shorts if you don't mind cotton.
