This product seemed great for the first 30 days or so, but somehow when I attached two hard drives to the 4TB plugged in the drive, it killed both of them. The data wasn't critical, but it contained my Plex TV and movie library that I'd accumulated over the years. One disk was completely damaged and the other could not be mounted. After unsuccessfully trying to use all the recovery tools I've used in the past (Disk Management, various Windows/MS-DOS programs, SpinRite, Linux Gparted, SeaGate recovery package, TestDisk), I finally had to resort to the commercial solution for 79 $.99 buy ( R-Studio) to recover files. The hard drives were so damaged that neither filenames nor folder listings could be recovered, so I still have plenty of time to figure out how to fix thousands of files. I do not recommend.
