Redundancy is key. Buy for $30 3. Make your own mirror system. If you have more than 3 USB ports, great. Backup for all 3. Take 1 to work or anywhere, then upload it to another 2. If one fails, so what. Automatic synchronization. Find a company that can do this for you for less than $100. I'm not that computer savvy. But it's a plug and play system. And very fast. Backup 200 GB in about 5 minutes? I will definitely buy another one. I don't need 3 as it's just for home backup. But I need 2 in case one fails. We are dealing with electronics and mechanical movements, nothing is reliable. Even an SSD is not reliable. Do you think you're foolproof as a person? Buy 2 to protect yourself. Don't be so trusting.
