Review on Premium Cotton Muslin Swaddle Blanket: SwaddleDesigns Marquisette in Elegant Pastel Blue Paisley by Jenny Mendez

GREAT MULTIFUNCTIONAL BLANKET!

In keeping with the weather in Southern California when summer temperatures started to rise in the 80's and 90's I really needed a blanket that wouldn't suffocate my 2 month old daughter but would have covered her when we went out. The flannel blankets I used kept her warm when I covered her up and when I used them to at least protect her face from the sun it got very stuffy. Swaddle Designs' Voile Blanket is the perfect answer for us! I first looked at other muslin blankets on the market but the texture was very rough. While the companies say the product will soften with time and use, I didn't want to buy a duvet that wasn't soft and comfortable until you put it on. I was a little confused as to what voile is and how it differs from muslin, but the company states that it is "similar to muslin except it's softer due to finer threads and more threads". And that's for sure! I was so pleased with the blanket that I bought another one with a different print. I love the design and so do my kids! It's big enough to wear in layers when it's chilly at night and thin enough to even use as a nursing blanket, yet it won't show through. This is a great breathable blanket that can cover not only your baby but also yourself while breastfeeding or protect your baby from the sun when going outside!
