To use this you will need to watch a video with instructions on how to remove the optical drive from a laptop; in my case it is Macbook Pro 17 inch 8.3 Late 2011. Once you remove the optical drive and replace it with a hard drive in the case, the optical drive fits easily in the case and works great. 20 CDs on my Macbook Pro with this external drive. I'm using Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon and when I drag the desktop CD icon to the trash it doesn't eject. You need to right click on the icon and select "Eject" or press F12 eject key, or press the eject button on the case. The reason I bought this case is because it has an eject button. Everything works .
