I've been a Sol fan since the first tracks came out a few years ago. I had two pairs of V10s and a bluetooth speaker deck. I appreciate their innovative design and high-quality sound. I was very excited to buy amps, especially for $50, I just couldn't resist. First of all, they are almost perfect for my particular use case. For other people, they may not be the same. GOOD - Really great sound. Assertive bass (subwoofer feeling in the head is comfortable), clear highs, comfortable listening. Personally I think they could use 1-2 clicks more volume but my main headphones are MEE M6 Pro IEM so I'm used to a higher volume. - Really nice case - Bluetooth 5.0 is fast and generally reliable - Decent mics guys, I don't have any hearing problems when on the phone - Passive noise cancellation is really good, you can't hear people talking unless they're very close - Emergency phone charger - a good feature for forgetful people like me BAD - It took my ear canal a long time to get used to these headphones. Like a whole week. Along with the fit issues, there was a difference in head pressure that caused the music to be muted for long periods of time - playtime is kind of garbage. 3-4 hours is not very good, most other true wireless headphones in the 130-150 price range last at least 6 hours. For me when I go between classes and to the car and back they are perfect. Not recommended for long trips or work days. - Random signal drops, stuttering and inconsistent synchronization between ears. Never lasts more than two seconds and never happens more than once a day. Still annoying when this happens - Range isn't great, I couldn't move more than a few feet from the phone without losing connection - If you don't pull both earbuds out of the case at the same time, pairing becomes impossible. Raised and annoying to fix - the buttons on the ears have two different pressure resistances and only offer play/pause/accept/quit/Siri functions. No volume control, no song skipping A DANGEROUS charging case developed and a horrible hinge creaking literally on the second day of ownership. That was bad - you can't replace or upgrade the earbuds due to the shape of the case. If the four sizes offered by SOL don't fit your ears, you're out of luck - the earbuds are sticky and unreliable. When I pause the music, I have to stretch my headphones, which is often uncomfortable as the pressure builds up quickly in my ear canal. FINAL VERDICT For the college student who wants to spend $50 on a toy so he doesn't have to talk to others between classes, this couldn't be more perfect. They work well and offer a useful and attractive feature set. For $130 I would feel left out. I can't help but wonder if Revain accidentally entered the wrong price. 4/5 stars just for the price. Even more expensive and it drops to 3/5
