I live in Southern California, my last car had the paint peeling off after 8 years. It was a Toyota and normally the paint lasts longer, but due to the relentless sun hitting it and being parked in my driveway, the paint was peeling. Bought new in 2017 and decided I didn't want to go through this anymore. This car cover protects my car and once you get the hang of it taking the cover off and on is pretty painless. My only complaint is that it literally fell apart after about 18 months. But then think about what the sun would do to my color? Just ordered another one. Still cheaper and less complicated than repainting.
