Review on πŸ”΄ EPSON T288 DURABrite Ultra High Capacity Magenta Ink Cartridge - T288XL320-S by Adam Johnson

Review for both the cartride and the Epson XP 340 printer it's meant for

I was very excited to buy this printer since I had very good experiences with Epson brand in the past. I was so WRONG!First, the printer comes with 3 barely filled ink cartridges that last next to nothing and will force you to buy new ones.Ok, I went for it and bought the original black 288XL Ultra Capacity cartridge which is supposed to last longer than the regular one. In the end, I mostly print black documents so it should last for a long time. again WRONG!In the beginning, while printing with the new cartridge the quality started to fade away. black caps started to look grey. Come on Epson, I had barely printed a few pages!I tried more than a few times the "head cleaning" option chosen from the printer's display but it never worked. Even worse, black color simply stopped showing up in the paper. again WRONG!While trying to troubleshoot, with a trial and error approach and only chosing black (non-color), the other colors in the screen started to display less and less ink. WTF Epson!? Are you kidding me?In the end, the color cartridges showed up as empty without even having printed anything in color! Which completely refrained the printer from even trying to print.Epson really screwed this time. I knew this was a cheap product, but at least I expected to be able to use it for more than a couple of times.I'LL NEVER buy any Epson products again. I'll go for a laser color instead of any other Epson's ink reap-off

Pros
  • Good quality
Cons
  • The cartridge may not last as long as advertised
