Review on πŸ”Š Superior Sound: GG Grand General 69991 Chrome Heavy Duty Train Horn with Triple Brass Trumpet by Jay Blo

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor casting quality - no customer service.

Bought the horns at the end of August. I took them out of the box and all my parts were in the back seat of my GMC pickup. The 5ft 2in tall groom took the truck, pushed the seat up and the horns fell to the ground. When I moved the seat back 6ft 5in it jammed the unit and the tripod holding the tube broke. I was honest when I contacted the support team. Jeff the rep told me this part was out of stock and said I would have to buy another horn or try to find a used one. After some research it turned out that these horns are either made in China or in Taiwan, which explains the low quality. cast aluminum. If you want to put them on your pickup where you won't see the dings and dents (my driver's seat isn't a hydraulic press), great. However, in the real world of Class 8 trucks, they don't last and you don't get any support from the manufacturer. I'm pounding the New York interstates and pulling a baby train down the New York highway. I would pay for a broken piece. I would also buy a larger solenoid. Now I just sell what's left for parts and try to cut my losses to $100. Cheap from China. The Grand General lost a client for life.
