great for emergencies or camping

I live in Florida so hurricane preparedness is very important to me. I was looking for a decent weather radio to use in an emergency, and I really wanted one that would run on standard batteries, which I have in abundance. This one meets these criteria and more. It 1) is rechargeable via microUSB, 2) uses optional AAA batteries, 3) has a solar panel for charging, 4) has a power handle. So you have 4 ways to put this into action. After you use up the charge and the batteries are dead, you can still leave it in the sun or turn it on to use its many functions. Speaking of features, it has a standard FM radio so you can listen to local news in the event of an emergency. It has 2 band weather radio also good for emergencies. It has an alarm clock so if you need attention this is the place to go. He has a flashlight. It has a USB output, so you can use it as a power bank to charge cell phones, etc. So, in an emergency, it offers a lot of useful things in one compact device. It has a small red LED that lights up. when it loads. I keep it on my back porch facing the sun and the little light stays on even when the sun is charging so you know the sun is charging it. I don't really camp, but it would be great for camping. It is a multi-device at the same time and is easy to take with you in your backpack. The small handle is also a carabiner, so you can attach it to the outside of your backpack and charge it with solar power while hiking. It also has a solid build and looks like it could do with a little tinkering while camping and still be fine. So for less than $30 it does a lot of good stuff and is a great buy for the money. I highly recommend this handy item.
