Firstly, at first glance this is a very good stroller. In practice, however, I was less impressed. I start building - although the parts are strong, they fit very well, making the build more difficult than I was ready for. With 4 children ranging in age from 17 to 2 I have assembled quite a few strollers and this was by far the most difficult. When I zipped up and pulled part of the fabric over the frame pieces, I felt like I was tearing the fabric completely. Nothing broke and the dome zip still works, but it took a lot of effort to get things where they should be. Second, all the instructions are IKEA style, just with pictures. So if you've never assembled a stroller before, deciphering it may take longer than if you already know each other. Next is the crease. I hate this. Here, I said it. It looks simple, but it seems to us that something is preventing it from working properly. I lift the lever the same way every time and can get it to fold on about one try out of four. I lift gently but firmly because it seems like more force will just break it, but I really have no idea why it sometimes works and most of the time it doesn't. It's really frustrating! Seat - Comfortable even for my 2 year old who doesn't want to walk but doesn't want to drive either. He sat down willingly after the first ride. The harness was good for him too - good coverage but I didn't have to chain 2 pieces on each side while he squirmed. A thoughtful design element that I appreciate is that the excess harness strap can be tucked into the harness pads. It's a nice touch that adds to the price. The basket is still smaller than we would like, but in proportion to the stroller. I keep a small clutch and it fits in there (but only from one corner) and I add some diapers, tissues and a mug and it's full. Not bad, but I kinda miss the huge baskets of old prams you could put another baby in. The grip is a good adjustment. Both I (5'2") and my partner (6'0") can push comfortably. The basic button works great and can actually be adjusted with one hand. That's handy because the next downside is the lack of storage space for parenting stuff! We have a cup holder that expands a bit (which I didn't understand at first and thought what ADULT cup fits in there?!) and that's it. You'll need a hook or other extra trolley if you want to keep your stuff close at hand. There is a basket but it too is small and you have to stop and bend down to get what you want. There is no place for things like a phone or keys to have handy when walking. The frame and ride are solid and offer a better ride than most "household" strollers. We took this to Old Town with brick and cobblestone streets and my little one didn't look like a head with a broken spring as we rolled over it. Our stroller works better there, but he's a space pig, so for us he still wins for that area. Curbs - kryptonite! It took an odd effort to tilt it backwards to go over curbs without a built-in little ramp. Again, our stroller works better, but I will still take this stroller for walks downtown. Perhaps my size makes it awkward to angle it to tilt it back far enough to "jump" over the curb. Portability is EXCELLENT. When folded, the thing is almost as small as a cheap stroller with an umbrella. When I managed to fold it I was amazed at how small it was. It takes up 1/3 the space of our stroller and gives us a lot more trunk space in my SUV or my passenger's small car. I like that it's free standing and has a built in handle so you don't always have to look for a place to reach without getting dirty and feeling like you could pull something off. Fabrics and textiles - plush and comfortable! This is definitely a place where price increases are noticeable and appropriate. All materials feel good and everything is well finished. The zipper is smooth and feels like I could use it on a space suit, it's so tight when the zipper is closed. The mesh seat and padded seat are comfortable and I love that the plush padding can be removed to reveal a breathable mesh. Stop frying, sweaty kid! All in all - I've never spent so much on a stroller. In any case, a lot of fine-tuning went into this design. My only complaints are assembly difficulties for me (obviously we've gotten over it and I'll never have to do it again, so this is a temporary complaint), lack of space to stash parent stuff, and difficulty with folding. If I knew what keeps him from being perfect on the first try, I'd fall head to toe in love with him every try. Because the folding problem comes up EVERY TIME we use it and nobody in the house can EVER fold it, I get nervous every time. He loses a star for that. Otherwise, it's a solid investment in my little one's comfort and ease of taking him anywhere.
