Sorry, the audio playback problem from your iPod through the Kenwood DDX371 is not related to PURCHASING THIS CABLE. It's more about knowing how to set up your Kenwood device. I can definitely play audio from my iPod with a regular iPod cable connected to a Kenwood DDX371. It just requires a simple setup: 1. Put the device in Standby mode (Menu -> Standby)2. Go to "Settings" -> "Input" and select "AV1" (or "AV2", whichever is available to you) instead of the "iPod" setting.3. Go to 'All sources' and select 'AV1' (or 'AV2' depending on what you set in step 2) and set the source to 'Aux'. THIS ONE. Nothing else is needed. Don't waste your money on a different cable than what you already have for your iPod. You certainly don't need THIS CABLE for NO sound. I confirmed this to the Car Toys representative and in FIVE SECONDS I was getting audio from my iPod. The only question is how to set it up.
