WARNING: I am by no means an audiophile. However, music lovers should keep their hands off cheap headphones anyway. I bought these headphones because I didn't want to go deaf with in-ear or in-ear headphones. I also didn't like the Panasonic RP-HT21 on-ear headphones, which are so quiet compared to these headphones. Compared to the headphones I've used so far (Samsung in-ears, Sony in-ears, Skullcandy in-ears), these headphones are by far the best. I also checked the quality of BOSE, Beats and Ncredible1. For those who don't know this fact yet, at the moment (2016) Bluetooth sound quality is NOT EQUAL TO WIRED QUALITY. Bluetooth compresses the audio and the audio quality is lost when the audio track is decoded. I tried BOSE which literally sets the standard for sound quality and beats these headphones for cleanliness and comfort. Beats are the worst headphones. They're cheap plastic and I have no idea how they got popular with so much publicity. Clarity and bass are really bad and I know the MDR-ZX310 is a lot better in performance. Ncredible1 are the same as Beats except the bass is flat. Both Beats and Ncredible1 feel and sound like Chinese knockoffs. CONSTRUCTION: The MDR-ZX310 is made of plastic, but for the price you really can't complain. The Beats and Ncredible1 cost over $100 and are literally rubbish compared to these headphones. The folding mechanism is pretty smart and sturdy, but these headphones still need maintenance. As with any other headphone, the folding part is the most prone to breakage. The cable is not advertised as a tangle free cable. And yet it looks like it. The cable is very thick, never tangled. The 3.5 mm headphone jack is also very well made. It is reinforced with a very thick material and a thick plastic shell. Nevertheless, you should take good care of your headphones, because they can break here too. COMFORT: I use these headphones 10-12 hours a day. There is a pad, but it still gets uncomfortable after 45 minutes to an hour. I take it off for about 2 minutes to take a water break and put it back on for another 45 minutes or an hour. It's not about the headphones themselves, it's about the style. All over-ear headphones become uncomfortable over time. I chose them anyway because they're lightweight and the on-ear headphones are heavy enough to strain your neck. I recommend resting the bottom of the headphones against your cheeks to relieve pressure on your ears. Overall comfort is as expected, and those looking to buy headphones should be aware that all over-ear headphones of this type will put a strain on the ears over time, regardless of the amount of padding. AUDIO: For reviewers complaining about bass. , it's really not as bad as you think. Yes, these headphones have LOTS of bass, but if you crank the volume to 100%, the audio gets muddy. At 0-60% volume, the balance of bass, middle and treble is very acceptable. For people who like to watch movies with headphones, these headphones are for you. It sounds EPIC with these headphones. Anything directed by Michael Bay would sound fantastic. If you are using VLC and have your system volume set to 100%, DO NOT SET VLC MORE THAN 100%. YOU WILL DAMAGE YOUR MAGNETIC DRIVERS AND EARN BASS DISTORTION OVER TIME. So how much bass in these headphones. For those who love bass, let me tell you that these headphones will make your ears and/or maybe your head vibrate at 100% volume. First of all, people can't even hear 20kHz, so don't even try. If so, then you have superhuman hearing. As for 10Hz, yes it is 10Hz. If you can't get 10Hz, it may be that the sound card of the device you're using can't output 10Hz. Compared to BOSE which I listened to. High frequencies are 80-85% clean (if you have an EQ you can simply boost the highs or cut the lows to fix this). boost the highs or mute the lows to fix the problem) CONCLUSION: Overall these headphones are great for those who want quality headphones at a low price. Audiophiles, look elsewhere, these aren't the headphones you're looking for.
