These are super unstructured mesh uppers and flexible soles, so you know what you're getting into. I personally like them very much. for this reason. Ideal for river swimming or walking in wet areas with slippery surfaces. The grips on the soles are very comfortable and prevent slipping very well. I've worn them in rivers and tide pools with rather mossy rock surfaces that usually give me trouble in regular running shoes. I had no problems slipping in these shoes.
