I've returned to motorsport after a long absence. For my mount, I chose Can Am Ryker Rally. While Can Am offers a plethora of accessories for this machine, extra bike space for touring or commuting is limited. The Nelson Rigg bag is significantly larger than the largest LinQ bag available for this bike. In addition, the Nelson Rigg bag has a rectangular shape with a domed lid, making it easy to fit large items of the same shape. Most travel bags for this and other bikes are rounded, and angular items do not fit comfortably in them. The Nelson Rigg bag has room for an insulated Igloo lunch box as well as a tote with 3 liter drink containers while still leaving plenty of room for soft items like a light jacket or rain pants around hard items. I always take these things with me when I come to work, and my modular Shoei helmet (larger than a regular full-face helmet) fits perfectly inside, with enough space around it for padded clothing or similar. Additionally, the heavy-duty zip interlocks with standard travel luggage zips, while the rain cover fits into a separate storage compartment and is very efficient. The LinQ bag does not have this locking feature and is limited in size due to its shape (no helmet or lunch box!). This bag expanded the utility of this bike from a weekend runabout to a serious mid-range everyday commuter and touring vehicle. In the photos, the Nelson Rigg bag is on the aftermarket trunk behind the LinQ bag. I can trade a Ryker for a Spyder, but I'll keep this Nelson Rigg bag.
