Astro A50 + Xbox Series X

I was upset when I realized my new Xbox Series X didn't have an optical port. This meant I was no longer able to use my favorite Astro A50 headset. I've spent a few hours browsing the internet and found that people have successfully used Audio Extractors as a workaround for Xbox Series X. This particular product has been recommended the most as it supports 4k resolution and 60Hz frame rate. Just make sure you have at least 2 Ultra High Speed HDMI.1 cables on hand. An HDMI cable comes from the Xbox Series X and connects to the Audio Extractor (HDMI IN).2. Another HDMI cable goes from the Audio Extractor (HDMI OUT) to the TV/monitor.3. The digital optical cable connects to the audio extractor (OPTICAL OUT) and to your Astro MixAmp or charging station (OPTICAL IN).4. Set Audio Extractor to 5CH (you can choose TV, 2CH and 5CH),5. Go to Xbox Volume and Audio Output and select the following settings: Headset Format = STEREO UNCOMPRESSEDHDMI Audio = BEATSTREAM OUTPUT Bitstream Format = DOLBY DIGITALParty Chat Output = HEADSET That's it! Now your Astro A40 or A50 will work just like the old Xbox model. Hope that helps! By the way, I'm a pretty serious gamer and I can promise you that this audio extractor has zero audio latency, sounds crystal clear and supports video performance at 4k resolution and 60Hz frame rate. Enjoy!
