Due to some negative comments, I was a bit worried about this product. However, I find it ideal. I was initially concerned about how hard I had to press the device to connect to the MAC. After doing this a few times, I'm more confident that it's a very tight fit that requires significant pressure to "click in". That's right, I feel like it clicks into place every time I use it. I suspect some consumers are struggling with issues with worn connectors on the MAC or not fully plugging in the device. If you're not fully seated, it won't work. Also, I haven't tested cases and only use it with cases removed from the MAC. My MAC is very new and I've only experimented with one case which was terrible in shape and design. Therefore, this MAC is currently used without a case. I might try a different case in the future with the idea of cutting out some of the case material to make this unit fit. I would buy this again!
