Review on Arrow RT200MKIT Headless One Handed Riveter by Steve Beaumont

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice upgrade for my old Arrow rivet gun. A small mistake

I have an old Aarow rivet gun. I don't rivet much, but when I do I want it to be as simple as possible. I love my old rivet gun, but if I want to use a different size rivet than what it was designed for, I have to remove the attached (and slightly in the way during use) tiny flat wrench and replace the head. I like that it automatically adjusts to different head sizes, which saves me time. The older I get, the more I understand that I value my time, so time that can be saved is important to me. It seems to have the same leverage as my old rivet gun. The only thing that makes the old model stand out is that it has a pivoting head to get into certain hard-to-reach places that this weapon can't reach. It's a compromise of what's important to you. For me it seems worth not changing heads (assuming I've never used the swivel head feature on my old gun and the first time I need it so I can just change my tune). The riveting tool is a specialty tool, but when you need it, you need it. As someone who has quite a few Arrow tools, I have no hesitation in recommending this one.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
