When I received the mount base, I found that the base was too small for both the Garmin suction cup mount and the 3rd party vent mount balls. I have unsuccessfully attached the holders to the mount using excessive pressure. For work I had to grind the balls smaller so the balls would fit in the nest. Thought of returning it for a replacement but figured I'd try grinding the balls first. It worked, but I complain that the manufacturer must have known that the socket was too small, so I'm only giving 2 stars. If it fits I would give 4-5 stars. My suggestion is that the manufacturer must determine the volume of each socket before approving it for packaging. If they did, they would find an out-of-spec outlet.
