I usually hate using flash drives to move large files because they are very slow. I usually use 2.5 USB drives for these purposes. You are much faster. But I'm worried about carrying them around as they are mechanical and subject to minor knocks that will damage the drive. With this drive I no longer have the slow transfer speeds of classic flash drives. In comparison, the transfer is very fast and I don't have to worry about this device falling or bumping during transport. You can even tuck away the USB-A port when not in use to protect it.
