Review on πŸŒ‚ Smith Kung Fu Windproof Umbrellas: Innovative Folding Umbrellas by Ashlee Washington

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fully automatic premium umbrella in a tiny body.

I'm ALWAYS on the hunt for an umbrella, especially at this time of year (summer) off the Texas coast. Tropical rains blow all the time, and isolated showers come and go only to reappear out of nowhere. I needed a good umbrella that I could take to work, roll around in the car, put in a locker, put in a bag, open and fold quickly and easily. Oh yeah, and keep me out of the rain. Considering the price, I figured it would be just another compact umbrella. They never seem to last long and always sacrifice quality for compactness. Luckily I was wrong. This is a fully automatic umbrella. Take it out of your pocket, open it (yes, a metal button. There is no velcro here) and press the button on the handle. The umbrella extends and opens completely by itself. The ribs look thicker than a common umbrella of this type, and it has a ventilated roof to help with those annoying winds during an afternoon rain. The handle is J-shaped for a good grip on the elements. Covered in "leather" which is nice. I found a small tear on the side of my product that exposed a plastic handle underneath a thin leather sheet. This was from the factory because the pen came tightly wrapped in bubble wrap out of the box, which is disappointing. The open top measures 41 inches, which is enough to keep me and my bag dry. For a few people, of course, I wouldn't count on it. To put the umbrella away, press the same button and it folds up. on both ends, and it reverts to compact storage mode. I also like that the handle doesn't bend. I've had several umbrellas that start to fold the stem when you want to fold the umbrella back and all end up sliding in and out while trying to quickly move a dripping wet canopy onto the floor of my car while I had to also close the door. This stays in place until you press both ends down and snap into place. The convertible top can be quickly placed on the vehicle floor and removed without having to change your grip. in a pen i still want to keep it to myself because it is so easy to use and keeps me ke eps dry. It's also small enough to fit in my bag so I won't leave it in the car or at home like other, larger, bulkier umbrellas. My wife wants one too so I'll probably get a few more of these, fingers crossed they're intact when they arrive. Highly recommended.
