If you are looking for a colorful belt with an unusual, useless, but at the same time functional buckle mechanism, then this product is for you! However, if you are looking for genuine leather, look elsewhere. "Skin" is simply a very thin synthetic surface layer applied to a composite core. The thickness is a fraction of a millimeter and it is easy to understand that it is not real leather. It seems convincing (is the term "arm" used in leather?), but it doesn't wear like leather. The buckle is quite odd as mentioned in many reviews. It's not difficult to work with, but I'm afraid it won't hold up as some other reviews have said. It is very shiny and appears to be quite durable. There's some sort of cam adjustment to hold the buckle in place with those pointed pins in the belt itself, and then there's a clasp that you pull to release the buckle when the belt is tightened - in which case the belt becomes mechanical attached to the belt. This plastic splint is located on the back of the strap. I've never seen anything like it and it's pretty smart. But again, stealth doesn't make a product authentic. If it says it's leather, but it's not, then it's not leather. A common thread I found at Revain.
