Review on 🌬️ DIY Mini Air Conditioner Fridge Kit - 12V 12A Thermoelectric Peltier Semiconductor Refrigeration Cooling System with Cooler Feature by Hayden Hart

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Striking example of bad design

All parts are there, two decent peltier chips, heatsink and fan. Everything you need to create a decent cooling unit. Unfortunately, all this is poorly collected. The screws that hold the fans in place are simply screwed into the fins of the radiators. They don't screw into anything, so damage is almost guaranteed before this device gets to you. The cold side heatsinks are tiny while the hot side heatsink is left open on the cold side. This drains the block of most of its potential cooling capacity (recommended, you can reverse the polarity to improve this somewhat if you take steps to avoid hot side overheating). Nothing is connected. If you don't have a soldering iron and basic soldering skills, don't buy it.

Pros
  • Fan and cooling
Cons
  • Damaged
