Let me start by saying that I wasn't looking for a Rode wireless microphone. I was looking for something that can convey good audio for a video. Pros: The sound is great here, but you'll need to turn the volume down and keep the mic away from your mouth. Then you will get good, clear sound on the video. The charger charges the receiver and transmitter at the same time, and yes, it takes about 3 hours to charge. Both have a great, elegant look. The receiver easily attaches to the mount on my Cannon 80D. The kit includes all the cables you need and they have a very simple interface. I am very happy with this item except for one thing. Cons: It has a battery life of 5 hours, not that much. It took about an hour while I shot the video. I thought maybe I wasn't charging it enough so I charged it overnight and yes only an hour or so of life. That's okay, since my video monologues usually only last a few minutes. Still very happy with this wireless mic for the money.
