After two seasons of hunting I can safely say it was a good range finder. Easy to use. The battery life should be very good. It's also pretty much in the range shown. For the price I don't think you will find anything better. The plastic doesn't feel particularly strong, but I'll keep it in my backpack until I get to the stand. I've accidentally dropped my pack over 10ft from my stands a couple of times and it didn't affect the rangefinder so seems solid enough. I would buy this again.
