Bought for my husband the same day I put my shoes on as I walked through the woods with my husband and dog. I had been running the day before and my legs and back ached from the struggle to balance on the icy trails. So I decided to buy some Jakraks but bought these instead (although they are much more expensive) because all the local hikers wear them and swear by them. My husband chose not to buy them. HA! He fell and broke his water bottle and then had to grab me twice to keep from falling. So I checked out the Revain and the price was cheaper than the local store so I ordered these for him. I didn't want to get hurt when he held me. :-) Pros: 1st minute I entered them. No, that was my first step. I felt more stable. you couldn't slip if you wanted to. (I've tried chunky ice and thick smooth ice) I'm 62 years old and when I fall I feel it in my brain. it shakes me. What if I break my hip! 2. no pain in legs or back from exertion3. could walk uphill and downhill easily.4. easy to put on. There is a tab that you can pull. and the rubber does not slip. once lost a yachtrak in the snow. they will not come off my legs.5. The spikes are positioned so the forefoot still has traction when I flex my foot. The bag they provide is great. not sure how long it will last. Cons: The only thing that comes to mind is the price, but really. My health and well-being are worth it. My husband wore it yesterday. He loves her.
