Review on 🚗 Dodge Ram Diesel Fuel Cap - Magnetic Billet Aluminum Cap for 2019-2021 Ram Truck 1500, 2500, 3500 by Glenn Kumar

The diesel cap fits snugly with the included o-ring. I would have preferred a slightly tighter fit but it stays in place and my wife takes it off easily when she has a 2018 Ram EcoDiesel. truck (mostly). The magnet is minimally strong enough to hold the cap on the truck body track in windy weather, I prefer to place it outside of the fuel filler flap to minimize any diesel moisture that may drip off the cap. (This shouldn't even be a problem since the injection hole is sealed to prevent fuel from sloshing out.) I chose not to install the aluminum DEF cap that I bought with the diesel engine cap. The OEM DEF cover is plastic. However, it does have a tether so it won't fall to the ground when removed. Although the aluminum DEF replacement cap has the requisite lanyard slot, I didn't want to risk removing and potentially damaging the plastic lanyard just to replace a working DEF plastic lanyard cap with an aluminum cap. The DEF cover just isn't removed enough to worry me. Both aluminum lids are made in China but are well made, have no sharp edges and appear to be of above average quality. For my part, I would only buy a green diesel cap for my next diesel truck. Just to keep dust and water out of the fuel filler flap when I wash my truck and maybe wash the inside of the fuel filler flap. Cheap insurance to protect injectors and pumps that despise water and let you know.
