If you just want lots of different elastics for fashion purposes and don't care about the quality of the product or what it does to your hair, then that's fine. They're cheap plastic and they rub against your hair. So when you take them out, they pull on your hair and stretch your hair strands, making them more likely to break. Some hair ties are even scratchier than others. I never use rubber bands from this pack. Ribbons with bows are particularly cheap to make because the fabric is one-sided and only looks good when arranged in a certain way. The metal straps on the temples are made of plastic and break very easily. One of the plastic rubber bands broke on me. I bought a couple of other hair ties that were on sale in the Nordstrom rack for $8 that were a lot bulkier and more comfortable than I use all the time.
