In my youth I wore pure amber resin. It was so pure that it crystallized and literally grew little crystal spikes in the little clear plastic box it came in. I really liked him. Clean, warm, heady and sweet. Real amber doesn't smell like that. It has very strong notes of sage and smoke. Amber is there and enough as an undertone or even a supporting role, but what if you expect real pure amber resin? unfortunately this is far from the case. Do not get me wrong. This is good if you like smoke and sage. It smells like a burnt sage stain that has a bit of amber resin in it, which I really like, but I think they should call it that if that's the case. Not "amber" sage. It lasts forever, a tiny drop lasts 24 hours and you can still smell it on your clothes after washing. But. Sage is not what I wanted. I wanted my New York amber resin in this little clear plastic box that had been crystallized, aged and stored for years. The amber I loved and miss. I'm kinda sad. Dissatisfied.
