I bought it because of the impact resistance, but the plastic does not look particularly durable, although, maybe. there is some protection underneath. plus there is a rubber bumper. a USB cord on both ends, which is handy and hopefully the connector won't come loose. through USB 3.0 it drives everything quite quickly, it doesn’t stick, it doesn’t get stupid, the LED doesn’t blind, it doesn’t make noise, in general, no obvious shortcomings were found after a week of use
