I had to drill this with a step drill after enlarging the hole. So far so good. It could be thicker but I think it will do. I have a 32" midland antenna with 6dB gain and it looks fine. The base of the antenna hangs slightly from the outside edge. This can cause sealing issues and allow moisture to get into the connector. Overall for the 2022 JL I don't have a huge range of mounts It's decent and I'd probably buy it again although it looks more like a $20 piece.
