I think the other 2 reviews are unfair as they received defective 3rd party equipment I have the exact same one transcription used. Machine has been a managing legal secretary and paralegal for 27 years and has never, NEVER had any problems with it. That is indeed what makes it so easy to use, and the foot pedal also has fast forward and rewind buttons that are raised just enough so you don't accidentally keep pressing them. 27 years as a legal secretary and paralegal.
