Review on CZC AUTO Headlight Waterproof Headlights by Deejay Devarashetty

For reference I installed these LED headlight bulbs on a Honda Ridgeline pickup. Unlike some other LED headlights I've seen, these were pretty easy to install. The front mounting plate can be easily unscrewed and installed separately from the LED light unit in the car. This allows you to install the waterproof covers on most headlights without modifying them - install the plate, reattach the protective cover, then insert the LED bulb and twist until it clicks into place. The only step left is to connect and secure the wires. The total installation time in my truck was less than ten minutes. However, the direction of the headlights in my truck has been drastically changed from the halogen bulbs I used. Since most of the light from these LED bulbs came at a fairly high angle, I had to redirect the headlights down a bit. Without them, the road in front of the car was very dimly lit while everything else in front of me was too well lit. It didn't take long to fix the scope, but I was a little annoyed that I had to adjust it as much as I did. Overall, the light quality is quite good. The distribution on the road, at least on my truck, was mostly very even with no major hotspots. However, every car behaves differently. The color is much bluer than halogen bulbs, but nowhere near as blue as the xenon and HID bulbs you've seen in luxury cars in years past. The color seems relatively close to daylight, if that helps at all. My biggest complaint is that they don't seem as bright as the halogens I came from. The numbers may appear lighter on paper, but in the real world they appear noticeably dimmer. Not bad, but it would be better if they were brighter. I'm glad I have them - I'm so tired of changing expensive lightbulbs once or twice a year. The halogen bulbs I buy are actually more expensive than these LED spares, so something that should last almost forever is quite welcome. Whether they are better than other LED options I cannot say. If I end up trying other brands/models I will update this review in the future.
