Meets the need of the TV only having an audio output
The new TV only has an optical audio output. I need both optical and wired. This device offers both. Easy to install and use. Additional features (HDMI extraction) were not required, but are nice to have in reserve. I use the second transmitter output for my hearing aids and leave the soundbar to others. Works well and we have good quality for all and independent sound amplitude for both outputs. This is not an amplifier, so there is no volume control. Good decision!
