It breaks on GPS, finders and accessories

I wanted this GPS mount but both I've installed broke in the same place: where the housing attaches to the handlebar mount. There are 4 small plastic tabs that fit into the slots and this is the entire interface between the two parts. Any bumpy road or trail will break one or more of these small ledges, and even one of them will cause the entire hull to fall off. Luckily the power cords were secured with zip ties so I didn't lose the GPS, but I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for a GPS mounting solution. For reference, both GPS modules in defective cases are from the Nuvi 50 series, so they are in the middle range of the stated capacity. I can't imagine what would happen with larger GPS navigators. A similar case design is sold under the Charger City brand for about $5 more. This model has a different and seemingly stronger connection between the bracket and the body, as well as a security screw designed to both provide support in the event of an impact and to prevent complete separation. In two years of use I have had no problems with these covers on my motorcycles or snowmobiles. Shop smart.
