Review on 🏋️ Adjustable Height Floor - Vestil FL ADJ 46 by Rob Allen

The description is incorrect as the previous reviewer mentioned, you can only lengthen it until the mechanism stops working and you lose spring tension. I adjusted it to its absolute maximum folded height and then lengthened it so that it barely engages the locking mechanism and is only 6 inches long. If you try to raise it any higher, the hinge lock will no longer work because the springs that help tension are too short. Even at this maximum length, the footrest becomes very sensitive and can be switched off with a very light pressure on the device. Extremely unsafe when used in this way in a harsh environment. There were no documents accompanying the product and the only thing the website shows are drawings with dimensions showing the min/max height with no documentation on how to set it up properly. I tried everything I could, flipping the cam lock base over and folding the springs. It definitely has the potential for range-based centerbar adjustment, but the springs go out of range long before that. I also found a YouTube video from a completely different company that said they had to buy a mounting plate as this center bar protrudes if extended too far and later retracted and could potentially puncture or at least warp thinner metals. . The product is very well made and appears to be well built but due to the poor adjustment and wrong range of adjustment I would look for another product from a different brand. I should have listened to other reviews beforehand but thought maybe I could do it. I was clearly wrong.
