Review on Hidden Valance Clips Plastic Horizontal by Sharon Triplett

Good and bad, but I saved money

They allowed me to save money because they saved me from having to buy different clamps for each valence level. I have both 2" and 3" fins. So if I were to use the regular type (which you buy based on valency level) I would have to buy a pack of each size. All canopy clips are poor value for money considering they are small and light pieces of plastic made in China. So I would suggest going for the cheapest one as once fitted you will never touch them again. Two stars because they are not completely invisible when installed as directed AND the valance ends just below the top of the blind mounting bracket. This is not ideal as you can see the gap between the bracket and the top of the window frame. The top of the clip is visible (about ½ inch) above the skin. With a slight change in the shape of the clip, the skin sits higher, covering both the clip and the gap through which the light passes. The so-called invisible flounce clips seem to be the same for all sellers, so they are no worse than other sellers. The cheapest! I'm concerned about the gap so I'll probably add something to the top of the mounting bracket where the clip attaches to allow the canopy to sit higher and close that gap. Since there are much more serious issues, it may have to wait until I retire in a few years.

Pros
  • Best Decorative Effect: This clip is transparent in color, not easy to notice, creating an invisible effect, so it won't spoil the overall aesthetic feeling of your valance. A handy and useful tool for the home or office
Cons
  • Safety
