I decided to use this tinted static film to cover the doors of my display case so I can hide food inside. I had never seen this before so I wasn't sure how good my hack would turn out. I was so excited to see the result. The process took some time, but not much. The hardest part was getting the air bubbles out. It's not ideal either, as at certain angles in low light you can see the contents inside. However, the tinted film effect will darken it and not stand out. Under most lighting conditions, this is not obvious. In fact it looks great in daylight as shown in my photos. The best part is that it's not permanent, so I can remove it until I don't need to cover this display case anymore.
