First of all I want to say that I was wrong about the size. Mine is for an i5 and I have an i7 but I was surprised it still fits with little effort. The screen cover part fits perfectly. The lower part is thinner by around 1.5mm (as the description tries to say) however, but with a little effort and care you can adjust it. Anyway, I made it. The small hem of the case isn't quite perfectly aligned, but it will hold up until I get the right size. However, this is a very good cover for your Surface Book 3. It comes in two pieces as above and allows you to use your Surface Book in any of the usual configurations without too much trouble. It looks fantastic (in fact it makes the Surface Book look like a big hard leather textbook) and I've no doubt it's some serious protection (although not against drops I think), but it comes at a price: the extra weight. This turns your Surface Book into a powerful laptop tank. It's heavier and a little bulkier, but that's the price you pay for serious protection. Another note: unlike cases for most Apple devices, this case/cover does not bleed through the company logo. That's 100% coverage of the back of the tablet (minus the camera) and a bonus if you don't feel like running around town showing brands. The only downside I've found that really affects my use is that the coating on the sides means you can't connect USB-C devices that are designed to sit flush with the side of the Surface Book can be mounted. In my case, it's the USB-C M.2 drive I wanted to use. There's room for a USB-C plug, but if your device is larger than the plug, it won't fit. For most people this will not be a problem. All in all, this is a great way to protect your Surface Book 3. Five stars!
