I actually have seven EA6500 routers connected in my two different houses and only use them as WiFi extenders. I've actually used them as my primary routers (putting Comcast and Verizon modem routers in bridge mode), but this has hampered some service upgrades from the two companies, most notably their IPv6 upgrade. So again I used Comcast and Verizon modem routers as my main routers and EA6500s as Wi-Fi extenders. Either way, this results in a very strong Wi-Fi signal in all my homes, and it's also nice to have a 4-port switch in the rooms for a wired network. This EA6700 appears to be just a newer version of the EA6500 but is otherwise relatively the same. I really have no problems or complaints about the router. I'm using one of my EA6500's USB storage functions as a NAS, which is really nice and useful.
