No USB3 electronics

Seemed to work fine until I tried a USB3 extender. It did not work. Comes with a USB2 cable. I connected a USB3 cable and it still doesn't work through a USB3 extender. I connected directly to my computer and started the USB service application. It is indeed a USB2 device. I have another model with USB3 and it works fine with USB3 extender.
