I bought this tray after a long time trying to find a tray that would suit my rabbit's needs. In particular, I had the following limitations: (1) It had to be rubbed as my rabbit likes to sit in his litter box which meant he had balls of fur on his back when there was no grating. The bars also had to be comfortable so as not to injure their legs. (2) They must have had high walls since she started urinating through them. (3) They must have been tall as she is a decent size. (5-6 pounds) rabbit. Those tiny corner pots didn't fit. (4) I wanted the grates to cover everything from side to side - I found that for some reason a lot of the shredded pans on Revain have a very wide, solid rim around the edges, which makes urine just pool and stay there would defeat the goal of having a grid at all. (Note: I believe only the XL size of this pan has a grate that goes all the way - I think the smaller versions have that solid rim so keep that in mind.) After a very long search to find one that does for this suits needs, I found this pan. I hesitated because the price was very high, but I urgently needed a tray for her and tried it. I really liked this box. But there were a few unfortunates that I couldn't count on in the long term. Although it might work for you too. What I really, really like about this pan makes it great: (1) It's HUGE. I bought size XL so I can't speak for L. But XL is a very large pot. It was convenient for the rabbit to move, lie down, it was so spacious. I loved that part. She loved that part. Major advantage. I can't say I've found another pan this big. (2) High walls are ideal. Don't urinate overboard. And there is no wall in front of it, so she can just jump in and it won't be difficult for her. She would have to jump and then turn completely to pee from the side, but she never does, so there's no problem here. (3) EASY TO CLEAN. In this regard, it outperforms every other litter box I've used. The grid can be easily separated from the tray. Although I didn't think about it when I bought it, it was a huge plus and I would buy it again for exactly that reason, if it weren't for the critics. (4) The wands are the perfect size - the plastic cords are thick enough for your feet to be very comfortable (your feet won't sink and it's not a painful wire) but the holes are big enough for poop to pass through with no problem. Great.(5) The XL version of this pan covers the entire pan. (There is a very thin solid rim, but I guess it just couldn't be avoided - and it wasn't enough to collect urine.) Keep in mind that the smaller sizes of this pot (large and medium) are my opinion can have this solid rim - so if that's important to you, grab the XL. (5) The material seems strong. The plastic was very thick. You don't feel like it's breaking. It's not mushy at all. (6) Happy beautiful color. I like that it's pink. It looked pretty cool. Unlike other frying pans. I wouldn't buy it for that reason, but it was a nice plus. For the first few weeks I thought I had found the perfect pan. After about a month, however, the plastic really started to degrade from my rabbit's urine. I would like to start off by saying that I now understand that this is probably because I didn't clean it properly - I was NOT wiping the pee every day. I've since bought another tray with a plastic grid and found the same thing to happen (although in fairness the other tray took a lot longer to decompose) so I don't think this is unique to this tray. I believe that rabbit urine is just acidic enough to corrode plastic if it sits too long, although in this case it happened very quickly. I now religiously wipe down all plastic trash screens several times a day and they seem to be working fine. Be sure to wipe the rabbit pee off the plastic grate of this bowl, maybe twice a day, or this bowl (or any plastic bowl with a grate) will quickly become unusable. I wiped it - just not enough. When I realized it had gone really bad I tried many ways to clean it but at that point it was beyond repair and I had to throw it away. But here's the main criticism - this pan is overpriced. i love building I like that it's easy to clean. Love how roomy it is and the perfectly thick poles. I think it's great that so many thoughts went into this pot, really. But it's about $45, and that's too much for (any!) litter box. If it weren't for the cost I would just buy another one, if mine broke, buy a few and keep using that as a long term solution. But I couldn't afford to buy some $45 kitty litter. I think it should be 20-25 bucks or something. It would be reasonable. Even now I'd love to buy and try these pans again now that I know how deep they need a deep cleaning, but then again I just can't afford to spend $45 on them and I found another toilet grated tray, pretty much cheap so I rely on it now (although it's undoubtedly NOT as good as this tray. But it does the job). Maybe it would be pretty cool if they only sold top-notch replacements for this thing. Anyway, here is another big plus I want to tell you about. I contacted customer service after my pan was destroyed by urine. At the time I thought it was unique to this pan. The return window has already expired so I wasn't expecting anything from him and the seller would rightly say I'm sorry but unlucky. Instead they refunded the cost of the pan in full and certainly didn't ask me to return it. I was really amazed. Not only that, they gave me a really good written answer. The response I received from them was thorough, concise, friendly and most importantly, helpful. Probably one of the best and easiest interactions I've had with an Amazon seller. So much so that I'm coming back here almost 8 months after this interaction to check this out - I just postponed it but was so impressed with them I wanted to do it for so long. Aside from the fact that the pan is very well constructed, I think you should know that the company really stands behind the product. I think if you have a problem in the future, for example if the tray has a structural problem, you will not let yourself lose your money on it. Either way, good luck with your tablet journey. I'd say if money isn't an issue for you then this is probably a great tray. Remember - (1) Wipe it off several times a day or it will be decatized by your rabbit's urine - and it will happen FAST! (2) Make sure you buy the XL size if you want a really huge pan. From other reviews I remember that the big one isn't that big. Even the smaller versions of this pan - the grates don't extend the full width - meaning urine will only collect around the edges and your rabbit will sit in his urine. XL does not have this problem. Much luck! And thanks again to CalPalmy for the kind help when I had an issue with your product. β¬45 was a lot of money for me. One day I will try your pan again. Finally, I would like to suggest that you use a special puppy pillow. Since then I've tried several brands and many of them are terrible (very thin, hold urine very little, smelly etc.). Unfortunately I can't remember how well the spacers that came with this pan worked. Anyway, I found the Members Mark brand they sell at Sam's Club to be actually very good and a lot cheaper than anything I've found on Amazon (they're around $15 for 120 pads). They don't have a smelly problem and they hold a TON of urine (8 cups! most I've found on Amazon like the Glades seem to hold about 4 cups). I hope this helps someone.
