This is an actual dog puzzle.

I believe dogs need mental stimulation just as much as they need physical stimulation. I have bought several dog puzzle toys and honestly most of them are pretty disappointing. This is the first one that I genuinely like. It has the typical slide doors, but the push down top to dispense treats under the lift lids is the star of this dog puzzle. It is really fun to watch your dog try and figure out what is going on and how they're going to get those treats. I have two dogs, my younger one was instantly intrigued. He figured out the push top pretty easy but then he was struggling a bit to figure out how to get them out. My older dog kind of shrugged his shoulders and looked at it like, as long as he has food in his bowl he wasn't going to spend too much time on this. I'll just put some higher value treats in it and give him a few more chances.I've only had this a short period of time, I really can't evaluate the sturdiness, and durability. It seems well made, all the moving parts move freely and easily. It comes with an instruction booklet, which is always appreciated but it does seem pretty intuitive to use. My two monsters haven't torn it to shreds yet, which says a lot actually. They're pretty good at completely destroying things they find interesting. If I have any issues, with the quality then I'll update this review.

Pros
  • Trains Dog’s Intelligence: interactive treat puzzle game challenges your puppies to get their reward of treats, works your dog's mind while reducing boredom and destructive behavior like chewing, digging and excessive barking
Cons
  • May take too much time to prepare each use
