Cannot separate bit from socket

This is a quality product but I was unable to use it as the TORX bit could not be removed from the socket (even with a hammer and punch in a vise) and for my For specific applications (removing the Jeep 4.0L oil filter adapter) I needed to be able to turn the bit with a half inch wrench due to insufficient space to install the bit, socket and ratchet. If the two parts could be separated it would be 5 stars. If you don't need to separate them, you will be very happy with that.
